Last Weekend I was watching the pregame show in the Sweet Sixteen of Basketball. They were interviewing a coach of a team in the championship. This coach who I know is an alumni of the University that I went to told of the fact that at his alma-mater his dormitory was recently demolished. The next day I checked up on this and I was sad to learn that it was the same dorm that I spent a good number of years in.
The rest of the day I was in a fog, because this Passage of Youth to me is the same as if an old friend had passed. It has been a good 13 years since I slept in that building, but the memories do not fade.

Not only did I,too, sleep in that building, but it was in that fateful facility that Lord Elgarf first encountered his eminence, the Holy Father O'Malley. I am saddened by these events. As you said, it was more than a roof over our heads. I think back on all those nights some asshole pulled the fire alarm and we awoke to the awful siren only to stand in the snow in pajamas!
Many memories.
A moment of silence for the great Campbell Hall where many a David Letterman was watched; Sarah Jessica Parker was telephoned (Thanks to the late Tom Snyder); Frank W. Smith lived with his massive porn collection and; we all huddled together and departed from there to see Star Trek: Generations on opening night in the winter of 1994!!!
Let's also give a smaller but no less significant pause to remember the late Ralston Hall - my former dorm while at Clarion which I have recently found out is no longer there either! I will miss the Pine Trees!
Ralston Hall is still there, but it is not used as a dorm. I do not know what they are currently using it as but I will find out
